I was being silly and attempting to say that saying someone is guilty of murder because they broke a parking law is stupid. You cant give people life for murder when all they did was park in the wrong spot which is what Jesus is implying.
You're still being silly. Jesus didn't imply anything, He said it outright. The point being the law couldn't be kept. You have no righteousness with which to pay your fine to God.

on my way in to work this morning (saturday), at 6:05 am on a commercial business street in chicago, i saw two sisters and a brother bundled up in winter clothes and doing "street work.
" it wasn't that cold, so i guess they started even earlier when they needed their scarf and gloves.
there was absolutely nobody else walking and all the businesses were closed.
Just imagen what happens when they get to the hall and find out they were spreading old bad "light". So much "Faithful" and "discreet".

Jesus was saying in Matt 5 ("will be liable to the hell of fire")it's worse than that. It doesn't matter where you live.

You seem to think you could keep the Mosaic Law if you wanted. That's exactly what the diciples and Pharisees thought. Jesus told them (and you) ..."unless your righteousness exceeds that of the scribes and Pharisees, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven."

I never implied that anywhere,i just said if you respected the law and wanted to keep it anybody could. You could and so could i, but we know its nonsense so we dont bother with its irritate aspects like not wearing clothes of two different fibres, or working on the Sabbath. If we lived in ancient israel we could observe these things if we had too.
My original point was tring to highlight that going thru your life without breaking the law was possible...
